In Sanskrit, Akasha means Sky or Space.
It is said that Akasha originates in sound, which is a vibration, or said another way, a form of energy and movement. This Space is manifested in various ways at different levels of perception.
Starting from the space we perceive around us, the space which surrounds us, the space of the universe which contains everything we know (in Indian thought, this Space is the fifth element and completes the four-fold Air, Water, Fire, Earth), and ending in its subtlest form : that of Space beyond space-time.
The Infinite, Undefinable, Space of Being.
Inconceivable by mind, imperceptible to senses, it pervades, as well as holds and contains all that exists.
That Akasha is Luminous and the Source of All.
Through the vibrations of sound and movement, through the pure, timeless energy that emanates from them, that Infinite Space rises, boundless within our own self, one can almost feel it expanding.

En Sanskrit, Akasha signifie Ciel ou Espace.
Il est dit qu’Akasha s’élève du son, qui n’est autre qu’une forme de vibration, une forme d’énergie et de mouvement.
Cet Espace se décline en plusieurs niveaux de perception.
Partant de celui que nous percevons autour de nous en tant qu’espace qui nous entoure, espace de l’univers qui englobe tout (considéré dans la pensée Indienne comme le cinquième élément qui complète le quatuor de l’air, l’eau, le feu, et la terre), à celui le plus subtile qui soit : l’Espace au-delà de toute dimension d’espace-temps.
L’Espace suprême du Divin, Infini, Indéfinissable, Inconcevable et Imperceptible par nos sens ou notre intellect, et pourtant c’est le substrat, la matière dont est fait tout l’univers, qui imprègne, entoure et contient tout ce qui existe.
Cet Akasha est Lumineux et source de Tout, de toute manifestation, qu’elle soit perceptible ou non.
A travers les vibrations du son et du mouvement et l’énergie pure et intemporelle qui s’en dégage, cet Espace Infini se déploie au plus profond, on arriverait presque à le ressentir au fond de soi …
